Shadows and Whispers 6 The past few days went by and Amaka got closer to Tobi. Not because he wanted her to but he wanted to get his mind off Vivian. He had hoped she would deny the whole accusation at the library but instead she packed her books and left like nothing happened. That shatter him so much because he took her silence as a YES. Vivian went back home and she laid on her bed crying that night because somewhere in between all those small talks and mini breaks, she had gone and fallen in love with Tobi. That night Amaka held and comforted her and kept on whispering "you deserve better". The very next day, she woke up different and made a declare not to have anything to do with Tobi till she graduated from this school. Now back to present, everyone noticed Tobi's dullness. He didn't even go clubbing unless his guys forced him. He was becoming a shadow of himself each day. He couldn't get over Vivian and the painful part was that she continued her life like he never mattered to her. Meanwhile Vivian on the other hand, has been holding herself from going to ask him if he was alright. She still had some dignity left in her so she wasn't going to meet a guy that called her a Hook. Amaka continued to be around Tobi like a ant around sugar. Vivian confronted her. "Amaka I don't understand something." She said leaning on her bed frame as Amaka was doing a light makeup on her way to see Tobi. "What's that Vivi?" "You going out with the same guy you warn me to avoid. Make it makes sense to me." "You are too naive." Amaka muttered low that Vivian noticed her mouth moved but no words heard. "It's all revenge." Amaka said grabbing her handbag. "Revenge?" "Yes, I want to get back at him for breaking your heart and other girls. Think of it as a feminist activist." "But he never knew I had feelings for him." "You think? Tobi is not a fool, he's an expert in all this things so he could have even know before you knew yourself." "Really?" Vivian said with surprised. "Don't worry your head sweetie," Amaka walked up to her and gave her a light pat on her head. "By the time I am done with Tobiloba he would come and beg for your mercy." "What are you planning to do?" Vivian asked curiously. "Something that would make him change for good. Giving him a text of his own medicine. I have your support, don't I?" "Of course, you do." "Enough of the chitchat, my cab is here. How do I look?" Amaka did a 360. "Ten out of ten minus nothing." "Thanks, girl. Bye." Amanda said with a smile but the moment she closed the door behind her, her smile turned sinister. "Stupid girl." She entered her cab and the car drove off. ____ T.B.C Vivian wise up na I pity Tobi, a broken boy
