However, the process depends on whether your identity (NIN) is already verified in the system:
🔹 If your NIN is already linked:
You can go to your mobile network provider (MTN, Airtel, Glo, etc.).
Present your valid NIN and ID.
SIM replacement can proceed without needing fresh registration, since you’re already in the database.
🔹 If your NIN needs to be verified or newly submitted:
❌ SIM replacement might be delayed, because NIMC's portal — required for verifying NINs — is currently down.
In such cases, the network provider may ask you to wait until the portal is restored.
