🧵 Skincare for Glow: My No-Stress Routine That Works for All Skin Types ✨
1/ I’m not a fan of 15-step skincare routines.
I like things simple, affordable, and effective.
Here’s my easy 4-step glow-up skincare routine anyone can follow 🧵👇
2/ Step 1 – Cleanse (Morning & Night)
Wash your face with a gentle cleanser or African black soap.
💡 Tip: Don’t over-wash — 2x a day is enough to avoid dryness.
3/ Step 2 – Tone
Use rose water or a mild toner to remove any leftover dirt and refresh your skin.
💡 Avoid toners with too much alcohol — they can cause dryness.
4/ Step 3 – Moisturize
Oily skin? Use a lightweight gel moisturizer.
Dry skin? Use a thicker cream.
💡 Moisturizing = sealing hydration = soft, healthy skin.
5/ Step 4 – Sunscreen (Morning)
Yes, even if you’re dark-skinned.
SPF protects against sunburn, hyperpigmentation, and early aging.
💡 Go for SPF 30 or higher.
6/ Night Routine Bonus:
– Remove makeup before bed
– Apply a hydrating serum or natural oil (like argan or jojoba)
– Sleep on a clean pillowcase
7/ Weekly Extras:
– Exfoliate 1–2x a week (sugar + honey scrub works wonders)
– Apply a face mask (clay for oily skin, hydrating mask for dry skin)
8/ My Fav Affordable Skincare Products:
– African black soap
– Rose water toner
– Nivea Perfect & Radiant moisturizer
– Banana Boat SPF 50 sunscreen
– DIY sugar + honey scrub
9/ Skincare Rule:
Consistency > Expensive products.
If you stick to a routine, you’ll see results in 4–6 weeks.
10/ Glow is a lifestyle:
– Drink water
– Eat fruits & veggies
– Sleep enough
– Protect your peace (stress shows on your skin!)
