8 hrs agoAt approximately 6:00 AM this morning, a police team led by a Chief Superintendent of Police from the IGP Monitoring Unit forcefully entered the detention cell of Omoyele Sowore at the Force Intelligence Department in Abuja. Claiming they were taking him to court, the officers nine in total, including eight heavily armed personnel allegedly manhandled Sowore when he insisted on seeing the charges against him and requested to contact his legal team. During the confrontation, his arm was reportedly broken, after which he was forcefully transferred to another undisclosed police facility.
