In a small village, there lived a man named Tunde who loved bragging. One day, he told everyone he had a goat that could talk. Of course, no one believed him. But Tunde was serious.
To prove his point, he invited the villagers to his house on Sunday after church.
Sunday came. A crowd gathered. The goat, Bello, was tied to a tree looking as ordinary as ever. Tunde stood proudly and said, “Bello, say hello to our guests.”
The goat stared at the crowd. Silence.
Tunde cleared his throat, “Bello, say hello!”
Still silence.
The villagers began laughing. One old man shouted, “Tunde, your goat is shy!”
Embarrassed, Tunde whispered to the goat, “Please don’t disgrace me. Just say anything!”
At that moment, the goat let out a loud *Meeeeehhhhhh*, which sounded a little like “leave me alone.”
A little boy screamed, “It spoke! It said ‘leave me alone!’”
The crowd went wild. People started clapping, some even offered to buy the goat.
Tunde, realizing he might actually make money, quickly said, “He doesn’t like too many people. Book appointments first!”
From that day on, Tunde became “the man with the talking goat,” and Bello became a celebrity.
But deep down, Bello just wanted more yams.
