Here’s what the media often overlooks.
SYRIA: A Nation in Permanent Emergency
It’s been 14 years since Syria’s war began. The toll?
▪️ 500,000+ dead
▪️ ~12 million displaced (internally & as refugees)
▪️ Infrastructure in ruins, hospitals bombed, economy shattered
▪️ 17 million people still need urgent humanitarian aid
And yet… it barely makes headlines in 2025. 😔
Earthquakes, War & Cholera
In 2023 and 2024, powerful earthquakes hit northern Syria.
▪️ Thousands more killed
▪️ Aid couldn’t reach due to border closures & politics
▪️ Disease outbreaks like cholera and waterborne illnesses persist
Syria is stuck between conflict, disaster, and neglect.
