    From Rejection to Resilience: My Ongoing Journey to Earn Online from Nigeria

    When I first decided to try earning online, I thought it would be simple: create an account, do some work, get paid. But reality quickly humbled me.

    I tried Fiverr. Hours of creating a gig, writing descriptions, designing banners—only to be rejected. Not once, but multiple times. That felt like a door slammed in my face.

    I tried Studypool. Applied, waited… still pending. Weeks turned into months, yet no approval. Another wall.

    I tried Toloka. This one gave me some hope. I could take tasks and earn, but it wasn’t as straightforward as I imagined. Some projects needed extra verification, some disappeared fast, and the earnings were small at first. Still, I kept going.

    Then came the news about Remotasks shutting down in Nigeria. That was a big blow for many who depended on it. It made me realize something important: these platforms can vanish overnight.

    So where does that leave me? Honestly, I’m still figuring it out. But here’s what I know:

    • Persistence is key. Every rejection is just another redirection.

    • Diversification is survival. You can’t depend on one platform.

    • Community is power. Sharing my journey here on Konnect means learning and growing with others facing the same struggles.

    My goal remains the same: ₦11,000 a day, enough to sustain myself, and eventually build a full-time hustle. I’m not there yet, but each attempt is a lesson, each failure is a push forward.
