Each year, rejection emails filled his inbox like rain in the stormy season. His friends began to laugh, “Malik, maybe this isn’t for you. Why waste your time?”
But Malik didn’t stop. He told himself, “Failure is not the end; it’s the beginning of a smarter attempt.”
So, instead of giving up, he learned from every rejection. He improved his essays, got better recommendation letters, and worked on his grades. When he felt tired, he reminded himself of his dream — to make his family proud and become someone who inspires others.
One evening, after his fifth application, he received an email. His heart beat faster as he opened it.
It read:
> “Congratulations, Malik! You have been awarded a full scholarship to study in China.”
Tears filled his eyes — not because he finally won, but because he never
gave up.
