If embarrassment was a school subject... I would have graduated with honors. It happened during a completely normal class. The teacher was teaching. Everyone was paying attention. Well... almost everyone. I was sitting at the back, fighting for my life against sleep. You know that kind of sleep that sneaks up on you? The one that says, "Just close your eyes for two seconds." That's the sleep that got me. Next thing I knew... I heard laughter. A lot of laughter. I opened my eyes and realized everyone was looking at me. The teacher. My classmates. Even the quiet kid who never reacts to anything. Everybody. Apparently, I had fallen asleep. Not only that... I had snored. Loudly. In the middle of class. The teacher stopped the lesson and said, "Welcome back. We were about to send a search party." The class exploded. At that point... I knew I was finished. I tried to act like it wasn't a big deal. But then someone imitated my snoring. Accurately. Too accurately. The laughter got even worse. My reputation never recovered. For the rest of the term, people greeted me with, "Good morning, Sleeping Beauty." Looking back, it's funny now. At the time? I wanted to transfer schools immediately. Moral of the story: If you're going to fall asleep in class... At least don't add sound effects. But I can't be the only one, right? 😭 What's the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to you in school?
