21 days agoPrayer is a communication language that heaven, I mean God responds to. Prayer is an act of obedience to God. Prayer is the spiritual oxygen that a Christian needs to stay spiritually alive.
A prayerful Christian is a lively, impactful Christian.
We have been commanded to pray without season:1 thess 5 :17 meaning we are supposed to be in the mood of prayer all the time, in rainy season or dry season, in hard times and times of celebration and joy. Prayer should be a means of obtaining all the promises of the father
1 John 5:14
We are asked to use prayer to obtain anything we need as long as long as our will is in line with God's will .
But sometimes we actually pray and even fast but the answers seems to be too far away: this might be due to our asking amiss
James 4:3
We are encouraged to pray and ask but not for selfish reasons.
Secondly we don't receive answers because we are disobedient to God's will.
Prophet Samuel was so obedient that even his words did not fall to the ground: meaning God answered all his prayers....as a reward for obedience:
I Sam 3:19
"If my people who are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray......" 2 Chronicles 7: 14
Prayer of unsaved man/woman that God will listen to is prayer of salvation.
God says He will hear from heaven and heal us if we are His people.
To become a person God can listen to his/her prayer we need to ask Jesus to come into our heart and confess Jesus as our Lord and Savior
Roman 10:9-10
Then we shall be saved and whatever we ask the father He will do.
John 14:13 , John 16:23
May your words/prayers never fall to the ground unanswered in Jesus mighty name.
