Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th president of the united states served from 1901 to 1909 and is remembered for his trust busting policies and energetic personality.

You may wonder why I am talking about a president that's probably dead? Yes he is dead but what makes him so important that I had to talk about him?

           THE PSYCHOLOGY OF SELF BELIEF

Self belief is the assurance and conviction in ones abilities to achieve goals and overcome challenges. Self belief is the foundation upon which motivation, determination and confidence are built. To believe in yourself, to push through, to overcome challenges.

Theodore Roosevelt made one of the most iconic statements in history which many individuals, athletes, entrepreneurs and even students use to believe.

" Believe in yourself and your half way there" not only did this man say it he lived it. In 1912 during Theodore Roosevelt's presidential campaign he was shot in the chest, despite being wounded and standing between life and death he still delivers an 84 minute speech with a bullet logged in his chest. This doesn't just show his endurance but his burning determination and self belief.

Yes, it is difficult to believe in yourself even when the odds are stacked up against you, but If Theodore Roosevelt can withstand the pain of being shot and deliver an hour plus speech who are you not to keep going.

Success doesn't come easy it takes a lot of guts a lot of risks a lot of belief.

Theodore Roosevelt inspires me everyday to keep going keep believing to keep growing. To achieve success you must first learn to achieve resilience and self discipline because it all starts with YOU!!
