The first stage of traditional marriage in my community is the introduction. The groom's family visits the bride's family to get to know each other. If the families agree, the groom is expected to pay the dowry, and a date is fixed for the traditional marriage ceremony. When the agreed date arrives, the groom's family brings the required gifts and dowry to the bride's family. The elders from both families offer prayers and advise the couple. The groom and the bride wear special traditional attire, while the women prepare food for the guests. The men may gather at the mosque for prayers before attending the ceremony. After the prayers, the marriage ceremony continues, and the bride is formally presented to the groom. The marriage is then officially recognized by both families. Friends, relatives, and well-wishers attend the event to celebrate with the couple. Guests are entertained with food, music, and dancing.
