In the heart of Umudim village, where the sun kissed the earth and the roosters crowed with pride, lived a tortoise named Mbe. Known for his cunning ways and insatiable appetite, Mbe was both loved and feared by the animal community.
*The Boastful Rabbits*
Not far from Mbe's dwelling, a group of rabbits had taken residence. These rabbits were swift, agile, and, most notably, boastful. They often gathered in the village square, flaunting their speed and mocking the slower animals.
"We are the fastest in the land!" they would chant, hopping around in circles.
Mbe, tired of their arrogance, decided it was time to teach them a lesson.
*The Challenge*
One sunny morning, Mbe approached the rabbits.
"I propose a race," he declared. "Me against all of you."
The rabbits burst into laughter. "You? Race us? This will be too easy!"
They agreed to the challenge, setting the race for the following day.
*The Race Begins*
The next morning, the village gathered to witness the race. The path was set through the forest, with the finish line at the ancient baobab tree.
As the race commenced, the rabbits dashed ahead, leaving Mbe far behind. Confident in their lead, they decided to take a nap under a shady tree.
Mbe, steady and unwavering, continued his journey. He passed the sleeping rabbits and, with determination, reached the finish line.

When the rabbits awoke and realized they had lost, they were humbled.
"We underestimated you, Mbe," they admitted. "Your perseverance outshone our speed."
From that day on, the rabbits learned to value humility and respect for others.
