Chapter 4: The Dawn Beyond the Shadow

When Okiri awoke, dawn had broken. The forest was silent — no whispers, no mist. Only the wind rustling through leaves that seemed greener, freer.

He stumbled out to the open field, the sun warm on his face. Behind him, Gagangwagara stood still, its ancient shadow finally lifted.

But as he turned to leave, he heard a faint whisper on the breeze —
“Remember, Okiri… all shadows return with time.”

And deep within the forest, one tree began to hum again.
