    Clara picked it up and read aloud:

    She understood then—it wasn’t just a machine. It was a gift from Mr. Halden to whoever was brave enough to wonder.

     

    Chapter 8: The Whispering Lights

    When Clara brought the heart home, strange things began happening in Whisper Pines.
    Broken streetlights flickered back to life. Old clocks began ticking again. The air itself seemed filled with energy—like the town was waking up from a long sleep.
    People whispered that the heart had brought back the inventor’s spirit.
