56 days agoIt was 11:38 PM WAT on September 04, 2025, when I stumbled into my dimly lit bedroom, exhausted from a long day. The old mirror in the corner, a thrift store find with cracked edges, caught my eye. I’d always felt uneasy around it, but tonight, something was different. As I brushed my teeth, a faint whisper slithered from the glass: “Look closer.”
Heart pounding, I leaned in. My reflection blinked out of sync with me. Then, it smiled a twisted, jagged grin that wasn’t mine. The whisper grew louder, “I see you… I know you…” Before I could scream, the mirror rippled like water, and a cold hand grazed my cheek from within. I stumbled back, but the room darkened. The mirror now showed not my room, but a shadowy version of it, with a figure standing where I should be watching me.
I haven’t slept since. Every night, the whispers return, and the figure grows clearer. Tonight, it knocked.
