I wrote a line about freedom —
they erased it.
I wrote again, this time louder —
they called it protest.
I do not speak for applause.
I speak because silence
has cost us too many sons.
Too many names buried before they bloomed.
My pen shakes,
but it does not surrender.
This poem is not pretty —
it’s angry.
It is the sound of a nation
learning to pronounce justice.
