In the heart of Umudim village, where the sun kissed the earth and the roosters crowed with pride, lived a tortoise named Mbe. Known for his cunning ways and insatiable appetite, Mbe was both loved and feared by the animal community.

*The Discovery of the Magic Stick*

One sunny afternoon, while strolling through the forest, Mbe stumbled upon a peculiar stick glowing with an ethereal light. Curious, he picked it up, and to his astonishment, the stick spoke, "I am the Magic Stick. Command me, and your wishes shall be granted."

Mbe's eyes sparkled with mischief. "Magic Stick, I wish for a feast of yam porridge, fried plantains, and palm wine!"

Instantly, a lavish spread appeared before him. Delighted, Mbe devoured the meal, belched loudly, and patted his belly. "This is the beginning of greatness," he chuckled.

With the Magic Stick in his possession, Mbe became the village's most generous host. He threw grand feasts, entertained guests with stories, and even built a mansion made of gold-plated snail shells. Animals from neighboring villages came to witness the wonders of Mbe's hospitality.

However, with great power came great arrogance. Mbe began to boast, "I, Mbe the Magnificent, am the greatest being in all the lands!"

*The Warning*

One evening, the village elder, Wise Owl, approached Mbe. "Mbe," he said, "the Magic Stick is powerful, but it demands humility. Do not let pride cloud your judgment."

Mbe laughed dismissively, "Old Owl, go back to your tree. I have everything I need!"

*The Downfall*

Determined to showcase his superiority, Mbe organized the grandest feast ever. He invited every creature, from the tiniest ant to the mightiest elephant. As the guests gathered, Mbe raised the Magic Stick and declared, "Let there be a feast to end all feasts!"

But nothing happened.

Confused, Mbe commanded again, "Magic Stick, I command you!"

Still, nothing.

Suddenly, the stick spoke, "You have abused my power and ignored wisdom. Now, face the consequences."

In an instant, the lavish mansion crumbled, the food vanished, and Mbe found himself alone, holding an ordinary stick.

*The Lesson*

Humbled and hungry, Mbe approached Wise Owl. "I have learned my lesson. Pride led to my downfall."

Wise Owl nodded, "Remember, true greatness lies in humility and gratitude."

 From that day on, Mbe lived modestly, sharing stories of his rise and fall, reminding everyone of the perils of arrogance.
