Yesterday, I decided to start living a “healthy lifestyle.” I watched one motivational video that said, “Wake up early, jog, and your life will change.” By 5:00am, I was outside feeling like a future millionaire athlete. 😂 I wore one oversized track trouser, carried a water bottle, and started jogging around the street. For the first two minutes, I was motivating myself: “You can do this!” “Discipline is the key!” “Champions don’t quit!” By the fifth minute, my lungs started writing apology letters to my body. 😭 As I was struggling to breathe, one small boy riding bicycle passed me and shouted, “Uncle, don’t stop now! You’re almost there!” Almost where??? I was already seeing my ancestors waving at me. 🤣 To make matters worse, one dog suddenly started chasing me. At that moment, the exercise turned into Olympic finals. The speed I used to run ehn… even Bolt would be proud. 🏃💨 After escaping, I got home sweating like someone that just finished JAMB practical exam. I checked my fitness app proudly. Distance covered: 0.8km. Calories burnt: 23. But the shawarma and Coke I bought to “reward myself” immediately added 2,000 calories back. 😂💔
