131 days agoPlanning a road trip in Naija? Whether it’s Lagos to Enugu or Abuja to Calabar, here’s what you must check before hitting the road:
Tyres: Make sure they’re properly inflated with good tread. Don’t forget your spare and tools!
Engine oil & fluids: Check your oil, brake fluid, coolant, and transmission fluid. No shortcuts here overheating is real.
Lights & signals: From headlamps to brake lights, ensure they’re working. You’ll need them especially on highways or night drives.
Brakes & battery: Test your brakes for any delay. Also, confirm your battery is strong and terminals are clean.
Fuel level: Don’t assume you’ll find a petrol station midway. Fill your tank before departure.
Emergency kit: Torchlight, first aid box, jumper cables, warning triangle, and a power bank all must be in your boot.
Documents: Carry your license, vehicle papers, insurance, and ID. FRSC or police can stop you anytime.
Google Maps & cash: Some places have no network or POS. Download your route and hold cash.
