A casual "Hey" lands in your inbox like a stone. “Hi, my love,” they say, as if words can undo wounds. But this time, something's changed. This time, you're not the same person who waited by the phone or cried yourself to sleep. This time, you're done.
This isn’t about revenge or bitterness. It’s about clarity. It’s about realizing that love isn't supposed to hurt like that. It’s not supposed to make you question your worth or beg for attention. Real love doesn't make you feel invisible or small.
When someone repeatedly ignores your feelings, disrespects your opinions, and takes your kindness for granted, it becomes emotional self-harm to keep holding on. And the hardest part? Letting go of the memories, the “what ifs,” and the version of them you created in your mind.
But healing begins when you choose yourself. When you stop making excuses for someone’s lack of effort. When you understand that love should be mutual, not a one-sided sacrifice. You begin to grow the moment you stop chasing and start choosing peace.
