It’s Landlords vs Tenants vs Caretakers.
Who’s wrong? Who’s right? Let’s enter the wahala 👇
💼 Landlords: “I built the house with my sweat! I decide everything!”
🧍♂️ Tenants: “We paid for comfort, not dictatorship!”
🧔 Caretakers: “I’m just doing my job!”
But somehow, everyone still ends up fighting over generator placement, water bills, and gates! 😂
The landlord will collect 2 years rent upfront, vanish into thin air for 11 months,
…but suddenly appear like EFCC when paint starts peeling.
“Can’t you people maintain the house you’re living in?”
Sir, is it not your property again? 🙃Then there’s the caretaker who acts like a semi-god.
Forgets your complaints.
Sends you 1-line texts: “Pay your service charge.”
And says “Oga is not around” for 4 months straight.
Meanwhile, he’s collecting bribes from incoming tenants 😬.
Some tenants too no dey try!
Playing loud music at 2am. Pouring dirty water from upstairs like it’s a village stream.
Turning compound to suya joint on weekends.
And when confronted? "Na my money I pay!" 🚩
Ever heard this lie from caretakers?
Na only one person dey interested in the house now o."
You pay sharp-sharp out of fear—Later you discover 5 people in the compound paid for the same flat. 😭
But let’s be honest:
The real problem is no communication, no accountability, no respect.
Tenants feel used.
Caretakers feel stressed.
Landlords feel abused.
Yet everyone’s living in the same compound with bad blood.
💡My suggestion?
Landlords should visit more, not just when they need rent.
Tenants should be more responsible.
Caretakers must stop being middlemen with attitude problems.
Respect is cheaper than rent!
